‘Uvaggio’ is the traditional name for a wine made from a blend of different grape varieties. The native varieties used to produce this wine are grown on the old soils in the foothills of the Alps in Northern Piedmont. They combine to produce a balanced, supple and minerally wine.

The wine is from an appellation that was almost lost to the textile industry and it is from further up North in the region of Lessona. The producer, Proprieta Sperino is from a family that owns vineyards from many years ago; they are also now established as one of the top iconic producers of Chianti Classico under their Isole e Olena label.
