• Passopisciaro is the fabulous project of brilliant, maverick winemaker, Andrea Francetti who first defied tradition to create a super, Super-Tuscan to top the quality and price stakes for Super-Tuscan wines.
• Passopisciaro was established 10 years ago in the black ashen soils on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. An old classical varietal that grew in the region historically, Nerello Mascalese was employed in its creation. The varietal is light skinned like Pinot and fabulously aromatic but has firm tannic structure like Nebbiolo and makes a very unique, gripping, fascinating and superb wine.
